Christmas: Bad or Good For Single Guys?

So, it’s that time of year again. And no, I wouldn’t say it’s the “most wonderful time” of the year, because frankly it isn’t. Anyone near the coast could tell you that much. Or anyone who lives in a place that doesn’t suck can tell you that. Or, anyone who isn’t a superficial jackass could tell you that. Either way, it’s definitely a time of year that people spend an outrageous amount of money on others, just so they’ll do the same on you. Go Capitalism!

But now on to the true meaning of this article; being single at Christmas time. To some, it can be a heavy burden, feeling down, not having dates for Christmas parties, outings, etc. For others though, it can be a god-send. Here are the pro’s and con’s of both sides of the argument. Where do you stand?

Pros

Being single at Christmas time can be a big life saver. It can take a lot of stress and burden out of the equation, and can actually work to a single guys advantage occasionally. Here are a few benefits to being not tied down during the Holidays:

Cons

Okay so you got here and you’re thinking, “wait what possibly could be a bad thing about being single during Christmas, this all sounds great!”. Well, there are a few things that aren’t so great. Firstly, it can be very depressing when you get together with friends and family, and you are the odd person out.

Beyond just feeling lonely and being alone during the Christmas season, the pros of being single during Christmas almost assuredly outweigh the benefits. Strange, at the time of writing this article I was expecting the exact opposite. Oh well, heres to being single!
